Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and has been a member of SSC's Board of Directors since 2011 she was one of the original co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. As the Artistic Director for SSC she was also the costume and set designer for the production, as well as music director, composer and coach for text. Though she typically led within her acting ensemble In her final year of work as an actor in SSC King Lear, she was promoted to director and lighting designer.
